Adi and Aya Al-Qambaz are seeking support for their three small children. They lost everything when their family home was bombed on October 10th 2023. It’s next to impossible to earn an income while the violence continues. Adi was employed at a fruit processing company before the war but due to the border closure and ongoing conflict he is currently unemployed.

They had been displaced from Gaza city to a tent camp in the southern part of the stripe, where Aya gave birth to her youngest child, Yaman, who is only 3 months old. He currently suffers from fungal infections in his mouth due to unclean water, low quality infant formula and lack of sanitation techniques needed for his delicate immune system. Infant formula supply shortages are a life threatening for babies.

Their older sons Tim (5 years old) and Rakan (3 years old) have grown up in displacement and they are robbed of their childhoods with each passing day. They do not sleep at night due to heavy military aggression in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood and they are often very frightened. These vulnerable young lives are at risk of hunger, disease, and lasting physical and emotional trauma. With your support, we can offer these children hope in a time of despair. No contribution is too small-every dollar counts and will go directly to providing essential resources.

The current goal for this campaign is to provide funds for immediate relief for the family. Yaman needs two cartons of milk and three packets of diapers every week, and now their price is high because of the crossing closure. The children need healthy and nutritient dense food. The family also contributes to the household expenses and rent of the house are sharing with many other family members. It is also worth noting that funds may be needed for further evacuation expenses.

Please join us in providing immediate aid-your support can help deliver essential resources to those who need it most. Your generous contribution will make a significant difference in their survival and well-being! Funds will be wired to the family through PayPal when enough money is accrued to make sense given transfer fees. Please give, and if you can’t give, share this story, and in any case, please keep Aya, Adi and their children in your prayers.

Dear Sponsors,

On behalf of Aya and her three precious children, I extend our deepest and most sincere gratitude for your incredible generosity, compassion, and support.

Your sponsorship has provided more than material aid — it has given Aya and her children a sense of hope, dignity, and humanity in the midst of great hardship. With every meal you’ve made possible, every can of formula or piece of clothing you’ve helped provide, and every moment of relief you’ve granted this young family, has brought light into a place overshadowed by fear and uncertainty. You have become a quiet but unwavering force of good in the life of a mother determined to protect her children and give them the love and care they deserve.

Thank you for choosing compassion. Thank you for choosing humanity. And thank you for standing with Aya.

With heartfelt appreciation, Rachael Adoure Zehaim On behalf of the Al-Qambaz family

In a difficult moment, we were forced to leave our homes and the place where we had lived for many years due to the danger surrounding us. We were displaced with our children, homeless and unsafe, carrying with us fear and anxiety for our fate and the fate of our children. We now live without a home to protect us from the cold of the night or the heat of the day, and we have nothing to satisfy our children’s hunger or put a smile on their faces.

We appeal to the kind-hearted to support us in this difficult ordeal. Your donations could be a lifeline for us and our families. Every bit of help, no matter how small, makes a huge difference. – Aya Al-Qambaz

The first transfer of funds was successful! Last week I was able to send Aya $150 from the campaign. Thanks to your generous support, the family was able to purchase cans of infant formula and medicines for Yamen. Yamen has been experiencing fevers, congestion and a skin infection on his chest. He was able to get treatment for these symptoms with funds provided by sponsors like you. Please continue to engage with the Al-Qambaz family campaign so we can help Aya and Adi provide for their children. Your continued prayers are also important and requested, as their neighborhood was issued an evacuation order this week. The situation is dangerous and your support can help ease some of the family’s discomfort during this difficult time.
